Join us this summer as we “UNEARTH A STORY” with weekly themes and activities around themes of dinosaurs, paleontology, archaeology, rocks and minerals, and more!

Summer Reading Kick-off: Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.
Drop-in activities to launch our “Unearth a Story” theme.
Deadline for Reporting Pages: Friday, July 24, 2026, at 5:00 pm.

Awards Celebration: Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
Cake & Summer Reading Award Winners Announced
All participants who register, participate, and report at least 500 minutes of reading will receive a $10 gift card to Chapter One Bookstore in Ketchum or Iconoclast Books & Gifts in Hailey. Gift cards must be picked up in person at The Community Library.
Kids entering Grades K-6: Please report your reading in 500-minute increments. You may make up to 6 reports of 500 minutes each. Participants will earn 1 ticket into our Grand Prize Drawing for every 500 minutes they read and report (Limit 6).
Paper logs to track reading are available at the library. They are optional. You may track using any method of your choice. Download the Kids Reading Log here. Find the Reading Log to report pages HERE.

Kids Summer Reading Rules
You Must Register AND Log Your Minutes of Reading by 5:00pm on Friday, July 24, 2026
Children must be registered for the summer reading program AND log the minimum amount of 500 minutes read in order to win a prize. Forms for registering and logging pages are above.
Claim Your Prize
Prize winners will be determined by a blind drawing. You need not be present to win. Prizes must be picked up in person by August 31, 2026. We do not deliver. In the rare instance that an advertised prize is not available, an alternative prize will be substituted at the sole discretion of The Community Library.
Redeem Your $10 Gift Card
Summer Reading Gift Cards can be redeemed at either Iconoclast Books and Gifts in Hailey or Chapter One Bookstore in Ketchum.
