Secondhand stores are a crucial part of closing the recycling loop. Each year, hundreds of thousands of items find new homes and new lives from the Gold Mine.
In 1955, seventeen women had a vision to create a thrift store to help support the valley’s first library. Nearly 70 years later, their vision has now become arguably the most iconic thrift store in the West.
“In Sun Valley, locals spread their passion evenly between powder and supporting the town’s literary heritage. Much of this support comes from The Gold Mine, a sixty-year-old thrift shop that uses 100% of its proceeds to fund cultural happenings at The Community Library.”

Gold Mine Consign elevated its own style in the Summer of 2023 in a brand-new, upscale location next to Gold Mine Thrift on Walnut Street. Originally created in 2013, the consignment store offers a higher ilk of fashion and an unparalleled shopping experience. Our Men’s section is now open for sales and consignment.
