Seeing Light: Teen Photo Class with Jim Britt
“Seeing Light and the Available Light Portrait” is a free photography class for teens, presented by Jim Britt. Jim Britt is a well-known portrait photographer who has taken pictures of many of Hollywood’s greatest stars. He will help teens understand light and composition. This class is a free offering, but registration is required. Please call the Children’s Circulation desk at 208-726-3493 x2 to reserve a spot.
Teen Craft: Sharpie Mugs
Come design and decorate a Sharpie mug at The Community Library. We’ll provide special long-lasting sharpies and one mug per participant. Feel free to provide your own if you’d like to make more than one. This is a drop-in activity between 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm. Pick up your mug at the Children’s Library circulation desk. Red Velvet Cake Truffles
Perfect for Valentine’s Day, these red velvet cake truffles are a delicious treat for yourself or someone you love. We’ll learn how to make these festive bite size delectables and package some to take home or give as a gift. Saturday, February 13th at 4:00 pm in the Young Adult Room at The Community Library.

Open to Teens in Grades 6—12.
Explore your silly side with trick photography and forced perspective. In this workshop, we will play with the art of visual illusions while improving basic photographic composition.
