Back to School: Make a Pencil Bag
School’s in. We’re using duct tape to create a stylish pencil bag to keep track of our pencils this school year. This is a simple back-to-school craft for school age children. Kids under the age of 9 will need help from a caregiver. Free.
Story Time Too with Special Guest, Professional Ice Skater Erin Reed
Erin Reed has been performing as a principal skater in professional ice shows for 10 years. This Ogden, Utah, native has lived and performed all over the world and this past winter she worked as a figure skating researcher for the 2019 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea. This summer marks her 7th consecutive summer as a soloist in the Sun Valley Ice Show.

Jason is a professional ice skater from Winnipeg, Canada. He has performed in over 30 countries all over the world. In over 4000 shows he has fallen on the ice over 15000 times…on purpose. Story Time with San Francisco Ballet Principal Dancer Sasha De Sola
As part of Ballet Sun Valley’s education program, the Library is honored to present San Francisco Principal Dancer, Sasha De Sola reading from the children’s book inspired by her life, On Tiptoes/De Puntitas.
Sasha De Sola was trained at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in St. Petersburg, Russia. She joined the San Francisco Ballet as an apprentice in 2006. She joined the Company in 2007 and was promoted to soloist in 2012 and principal dancer in 2017. De Sola has created principal or ensemble roles in Caniparoli’s Tears, McIntyre’s Your Flesh Shall Be a Great Poem, Rhoden’s LET’S BEGIN AT THE END, Scarlett’s Hummingbird, Thatcher’s Ghost in the Machine, Welch’s Bespoke and Wheeldon’s Bound To.
The target audience for this Story Time is ages 3 – 8 years old.
