Still have questions about how exactly an eclipse happens? How much do you know about the movement of the earth and the moon, really? This 40 minute program designed for school age children will teach about the sun and the moon and the movement that created a solar eclipse in our area on August 21st.

Head Start Book Drive for 3 – 5 year olds
In conjunction with the Hailey Rotaty and the Kiwanis Club, The Community Library is a drop-off spot for a Book Drive for Head Start in Hailey. Please bring new or gently used books specifically geared towards 3-5 years olds (although children’s books for all ages are welcome) to the library anytime between March 27th and April 7th. Thank you!!
As a reminder: gently used children’s books may be purchased across the street at The Gold Mine and then donated here!
Day of Pretend Play: Puppet Theater
New in The Children’s Library: Drop-In day of Pretend Play. The library will provide a simple play-scape. This month’s theme is a “Puppet Theater.” Come use our puppets. Then tell a story with the puppets in our theater.
This is a self-serve opportunity for pretend play. Parents and caregivers are responsible for children. Please respect our play-scape and props. Reading to and with your child is encouraged as is helping them with their creative play, if necessary.
Drop-In Craft: Crazy 3-D Pasta Sculpture
Join us anytime during open hours in the Children’s Library and make a Crazy 3-D sculpture using pasta, pipe cleaners, and more. Come be creative, colorful, and zany.
Drop-In: St. Patrick’s Day Craft
Drop-In anytime at the Children’s Library and use paper and glue to make a mosaic shamrock. Materials will be provided while supplies last.
