Reading & Summer: The Perfect Pairing
Looking for a fun way to read more? Join the Valley-wide Adult Summer Reads program!
The Community Library, Hailey Public Library, and Bellevue Public Library collaborate each summer to support a Valley-wide summer reading program…for adults.
Participants get a ”passport’ to guide and motivate their summer reading choices. It includes challenges from finding a ‘new-to-you’ author to visiting a local cultural institution to explore our Valley’s rich artistic and historical heritage.
Each activity earns you an entry into our end-of-summer drawing for prizes.
Summer in the Northern Rockies is a time of engagement with community and exploring our surroundings. We try to theme the reading activities around that spirit of engagement and discovery but also to make it flexible so you can choose the reads that feed your interests.
Reading is shown to have many benefits: stress reduction, improved memory, enhanced focus, and increased knowledge. Along with building your physical wellness over summer, you can jumpstart your mental wellness by joining Adult Summer Reads.
