The Healing Arts Panel Discussion with Elizabeth Yuengling

A retired police captain from Long Island, NY, Liz has lived in Sun Valley for four years.  Having studied different modalities of energy work since 1993, Liz has developed a passion for energy medicine, which involves working with the vibrational frequency of the body.  Her mission as a practitioner is to help raise the consciousness of others in making them aware of how they can improve their frequency and health.

Liz will moderate a panel of local experts and practitioners in the Healing Arts, who will share their personal story and what modalities that they offer our community.  The panel presentation will be interactive, and the audience will be invited to ask questions throughout.  Various topics that will be discussed include:  Hands-on-Healing, essential oils, Reiki, Rolfing, herbal medicine, Shamanism, acupuncture, and others.

RBG screening in partnership with The Advocates

In partnership with The Advocates, The Community Library will be hosting a public screening of RBG, the critically-acclaimed documentary about Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg and her early legal battles that forever changed the lives of women.

A discussion will follow led by staff from both The Advocates and The Community Library.

Small Business Start-Up Seminar with the Idaho SBDC

Do you want to start a business, but don’t know where to begin? Do you know what a business plan is and how important it is to your future business success? Do you have lots of questions & need some answers? Then this concentrated 2 hour “start-up business seminar” is for you!

The Idaho Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will be offering this free seminar at The Community Library.  The topics & information you’ll receive will include:  1.) The ‘Basics’ of Business Regulations (what you need to know BEFORE you open your doors), 2.) The importance of “preparedness” (Your Business Plan), 3.) Your Personal Business “Survival Kit”.

Sewing Club

Sewing Club teaches basic hand-stitching through simple projects for kids. Children must be age 7 to attend and sign-up is required. Call the library at (208) 726-3493 x 2 to reserve a spot.

Parental help is encouraged and children under the age of 9 may not be left alone at the library.
