Gold Mine Thrift Store Ski Opening
Mark your calendar for the Gold Mine Ski Opening! Otherwise known as the unofficial start of the ski season. Get in line early to get your pick of Alpine and Nordic gear, jackets, pants, boots, hats, scarves, gloves and all of the other great treasures you can find at the Gold Mine.
Gold Mine Closed
The Gold Mine Thrift Store will be closed on Saturday, Sept 10 from 12 pm until Tuesday, Sept 13 at 10 am.
$5 Gold Mine Bag Sale
The Gold Mine’s annual summer clearance sales culminates with the $5 Bag sale when customers can purchase a “bag” stuff with whatever they can stuff into for $5. This event is ONLY from 9 am to 12 pm. The Gold Mine will then be closed Saturday afternoon until Tues morning at 10 am.
Fall/Cashmere Opening
September 25, 2025: Now including cashmere, as well as gear and apparel for the cool-to-cold seasons, the Gold Mine Thrift store offers new arrivals in gear and clothing for men, women, and kids, plus sporting goods, fleece, hats & scarves, shoes & boots, electronics, housewares, and more. Unbeatable selection at incredible prices. Easily one of the top sales of the year.
The Gold Mine Thrift store and drop-off will CLOSE AT NOON on September 24 for the “flip”.

- September 19: 20% off most items
- September 20: 40% off most items
- September 22: 60% off most items
- September 23: 75% off most items; Hours: 9am-12pm, September 23 only (Same hours for donation drop-off)
- September 25: FALL/CASHMERE OPENING – Doors open at 9am (September 25 only)
Typical hours: 10:00am-6pm. Gold Mine Thrift is located at 331 Walnut Avenue in Ketchum. Proceeds from the Gold Mine stores help support books, literacy, and programs at The Community Library.
