Join the Wood River Women’s Foundation (WRWF) for a panel discussion on the why, how and what of charitable giving. Come to engage, listen and learn about ideas and opportunities to support the many nonprofits in the Wood River Valley community.
The panel will discuss: What are the personal and psychological benefits of giving? How do we assess the impact of giving to a charity? What financial and legal strategies are available and how are their benefits best realized? The panel invites an open discussion to work toward improving the community.
The evening will also serve as the official launch of the recently published Giving Guide of the Wood River Valley.
The panel will be moderated by Jenni Riley, WRWF Education Committee Member and Director of the Giving Guide of the Wood River Valley. All members of the community are invited to this free event.
Panelists:
Terri Bullock, Incoming President, WRWF. Terri Bullock came to the Wood River Valley in 2015 and became a member of the WRWF shortly after in 2016. After a 34-year career with Chevron involving management, development and compliance, she transferred her talents to the nonprofit sector. Terri has served as Social Media Chair, Vice President and now President of the WRWF.
Sandra Clapp, Attorney, Sandra L. Clapp Associates, P.A. Sandra Clapp has practiced law since 1991 with an emphasis on planned gift preparation, charitable trusts, and private foundation and public charity formation. She is a former president of the Boise Estate Planning Council and member of the Southwest Idaho Planned Giving Council. She has been a trustee on the board of the Red Cross and a chapter development specialist for the LPGA Amateurs.
Cate Cox, Therapist, Cate Cox Therapy. Cate Cox is a licensed marriage and family therapist in Idaho, practicing in the Wood River Valley. As a mental health practitioner, she works directly with valley nonprofit organizations providing services and support to community members facing severe illnesses and trauma. In her philanthropic role, Cate serves as president of The Jonathan C.S. Cox Family Foundation.
Suzanne Hazlett, Financial Advisor, Hazlett Wealth Management, L.L.C. Suzanne Hazlett has worked with private and institutional clients as a financial planner and investment advisor for more than 22 years. Suzanne is president and co-founder of the Wood River Valley Studio Tour. She is also the founder of Giving Guide of the Wood River Valley, a charitable education organization with a focused mission to elevate and garner exposure for nascent and established Wood River Valley nonprofits, while providing contributors with information about volunteer opportunities, corporate engagement possibilities, and philanthropic insights.
