Jean-Jacques Bohl will describe a country torn between two governments, dealing with the day to day realities of divided loyalties while coping with an army of occupation. It was a time of mythologies, which still haunts today’s French political discourse. It was a time of heroic deeds and abject cowardice, while the French literary spirit continued to blossom. Guitar Circle with Taul Paul
Guitar players, musicians, listeners and learners are welcome to join us at The Community Library every third Thursday of the month to share songs, ideas and techniques. Led by local professional musician and instructor Taul Paul, the Guitar Circle gives everyone a chance to play. Genres include, but are not limited to, Americana, Folk, Blues, and pop music of many flavors. Bring your own instrument (including guitars, violins, ukuleles, harmonicas and more) or just observe and chip in on the chorus. The library does have a collection of circulating guitars that may be checked out and used in-house or at home. Every third Thursday, come and make some musical noise @The Community Library!

Join Jackie Hennessey of the Advocates and learn about how to take more control over your finances and to recognize the signs of economic abuse.
Jackie has worked for the Advocates for 4 1/2 years and taught the economic empowerment and financial abuse english classes and one-on-one with clients for four years. She is a certified teacher of the All State’s Foundations Moving Ahead Through Financial Management Curriculum as well as the Redevelopment Opportunites for Women’s Realizing Your Economic Action Plan (REAP) curriculum.
ERC Hosts Raptor Conservation Lecture at the Community Library
Join the ERC on Wednesday, April 8 at 6:00 pm for a special presentation by the World Center for Birds of Prey at the Community Library in Ketchum. Mike Garets, Raptor Specialist, and Joe Fodor, Peregrine Fund volunteer, will be presenting two live birds of prey while talking about the biology, ecology, and conservation status of these birds. They will also touch on the history of the Peregrine Fund and its successes and challenges in raptor conservation worldwide. This lecture is free and intended for all ages.
