Thanks to a grant from the Papoose Club, our Toddler Read and Play will feature flannel board stories and books at 11:00 am followed by activities to do together with your child like play dough, puzzles, or pretend play. Don’t be late, the storytime aspect of Toddler Read and Play is only about 20 minutes.

How are you a superhero? Tell us about yourself by coloring your own Super Hero Poster. Available Wednesday – Friday as a drop-in activity in the Children’s Library, while supplies last.
Sewing Club with Britta Hubbard
Sewing Club teaches basic hand stitching to children ages 7 and up. Projects differ each month. Space is limited, sign-up is required. Call the Children’s Library at (208) 726-3493 x 2 to reserve a spot.
PAWS to Read
Reading to a dog helps children develop reading skills in a relaxed environment because dogs don’t correct or judge. Our Paws to Read program is a great opportunity for children to practice reading. “Paws to Read” happens every Saturday at 11:00 am in the Children’s Library.
Summer Reading Kick-Off Party: Super Heroes!!
Our Summer Reading Program’s theme this year is “Every Hero Has a Story.” Registration opens June 1st through June 20th. Open to children entering grades K – 6, our summer reading program helps prevent reading loss over the summer months. Great prizes are available as you track your reading and turn in your completed log. Registration must be in person at The Community Library.
Then, join our Super Hero Themed Kick-Off Party Saturday, June 20th from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. We’ll have food, activities, and games for school-aged children.

Have you ever wondered not only how to find the constellations but what the stories are behind them? Join Hemingway Elementary Engineering Technology teacher Scott Slonim as he takes you on a tour of the stars. You will see the Native American and Greek constellations as well as the phases of the moon. You’ll also be able to touch a real shooting star. The show will end with an amazing laser show!
