Digital Citizenship for Families with Paul Zimmerman

July 7, 2021 by kmerwin

Internet usage in the family can add stress to any parent.  How do we teach good digital citizenship to our kids?  How can we be good stewards of responsible use ourselves?  What kind of family tech-culture are we trying to create in our homes? Safely navigating the Internet seems like an overwhelming task…but it doesn’t have to be!  In this interactive workshop, we break it down this challenge, and find working solutions, in two basic ways – practical tips and mindset.  We will dive into some practical tips for everyday use, but will also talk about changing our mindset from one of stress to one of adaptability.

All children, 9-years old and older, are welcome to join staff in the newly-renovated Children’s Library for story-time, crafts and activities while parents attend the talk.

Photo Management with Paul Zimmerman

July 7, 2021 by kmerwin

It seems like you can’t have the holidays without taking photos.  Photos tend to be in the moment and this workshop is to help those moments happen seamlessly with loved ones this holiday season.  No more running out of space, no more struggling to share photos, and no more spending hours organizing photos.  There is a better way and this workshop will take you through it all.

Apple iOS 12 Workshop with Paul Zimmerman

July 7, 2021 by kmerwin

Get an update from your iPhone or iPad recently?  Did you update or are you waiting?  Either way, this workshop is made for you.  In this hands on overview of iOS 12, we are going to talk about what to expect from the upgrade process, how to upgrade, if you should or not, and then explore the new features one by one.  Updating can be stressful – come to the library and let’s fix that.
