“Lindberg, Lambert and the Spirit of St. Louis” – Encore presentation

July 7, 2021 by kmerwin

Back by popular demand, Lt. Col. (USM) Kingman Lambert will share the story-behind-the story of Charles Lindbergh’s first trans-Atlantic flight.  While this event will live on in aviation history as one of it’s most remarkable moments, it would not have happened without the support and foresight of Albert Bond Lambert. A true pioneer and visionary, Lambert made Lindbergh’s dream a reality, and it is no accident that the airport in St. Louis still carries the Lambert name.  Please join King, grandson of Albert Bond Lambert, to learn about the events that lead to a moment that will forever live in our history and imagination.

Free Screening of JANE a National Geographic film documentary

July 7, 2021 by kmerwin

Please join us in our newly-renovated, theatre-quality Lecture Room to view the award-winning and acclaimed documentary, Jane, produced by National Geographic.  The film tells the story of Jane Goodall and her early years in Gombe, drawing from a treasure trove of footage never before seen.  Her story reminds us that Jane Goodall not only revolutionized our understanding of the natural world, but that she was, and still is, a trailblazer for women in the sciences.
