Tech Class with Paul: Photo Management

It’s time to organize and share all those photos you took over the summer.  However, with Google Photos we can not only automate much of this but sharing becomes even easier too.  Lastly, Google Photos now let’s you order physical books from your photos right in the app!  

ERC Book Discussion: Tim Egan’s “The Big Burn”

On Wednesday, June 21 at 6pm at The Community Library, the ERC will facilitate a book discussion on Tim Egan’s The Big Burn.  Egan’s book examines the largest-ever fire in American history in the summer of 1910 in the national forests of Washington, Idaho, and Montana. Egan follows the struggles of the overmatched rangers against the unstoppable fire as well as the larger story of president Teddy Roosevelt and chief forester Gifford Pinchot and their quest for conservation and the creation of public lands.  

Genealogy Workshop

Creating Inclusive Communities

This interactive lecture with hands-on activities led by Sam Byrd of ¡DiversityWorks! and Leo Morales of the Idaho ACLU will affirm the human dignity of all people by encouraging participants to reinforce respectful treatment and acceptance of individuals from diverse cultures. Participants will learn practices and behaviors that help create communities that are proactively inclusive including how gender, legal status, and language impacts our communities; how the dominant culture influences linguistic, social, and economic inclusion; how to identify and use resources and knowledge that enhances intercultural collaboration, and how to increase the ability of participants to work with people different from themselves in ways that are, genuinely inclusive. *This workshop is generously supported by Don and Marcia Liebich as part of the Idaho Non-profit Education Initiative.
