Every Tuesday the Library offers free English as a Second Language classes for adults of all language abilities. Teachers Janet Ross-Heiner and Karen Little will assist non-native speakers in their efforts to improve their English language skills. This class is for adults from all language backgrounds.

Genealogy Workshop
This basic research class will allow you to research your family tree with Donna Voyles, the director of the Family History Center in Hailey. If you have questions call Buffy at 726-3493 ext. 110.
Winter Book Group: Home Lost and Found
This six-week book group will focus on three novels that work to re-define community in times of conflict: Little Women (1868) by Louisa May Alcott; My Antonia (1918) by Willa Cather; and Into the Beautiful North (2009) by Luis Alberto Urrea. Facilitated by Library Executive Director, Jenny Emery Davidson.

Beginning Spanish 2 for Communication
This is a follow-up class for those who have completed a beginners or novice conversational Spanish class. The first class introduced students to agreement, gender, number, subjects, basic information and conversational questions, and how to use the verbs ser, tener, gustar. In this second course, students will continue to build their foundational understanding of language, vocabulary, communication and question-response skills.

Intermediate Spanish Conversation: Lunchtime Language
This class focuses on conversation and the discussion of selected literary readings, periodical and magazine articles, and short films to instill a greater mastery of spoken Spanish. Grammar will be expounded upon as necessary. Vocabulary will focus on readings, viewings and discussions and include tools such as transitional or linking words, interjections, and more

Creative Writing with Tony Evans
The Creative Writing Workshop is open to all genres and levels, providing a supportive atmosphere where local writers can share their work. Please bring your favorite books, stories and poems, and samples of your works-in-progress. Writing topics, styles and techniques will be explored weekly. Drop-ins welcome.
Tony Tekaroniake Evans is an award-winning journalist and columnist at the Idaho Mountain Express newspaper in Ketchum who has led writing workshops in the Wood River Valley since 2004.
