Reading to a dog helps children develop reading skills in a relaxed environment because dogs don’t correct or judge. Our Paws to Read program is a great opportunity for children to practice reading. “Paws to Read” happens every Saturday at 11:30 am in the Children’s Library.
Beginning now, every time to you come read to one of our volunteer dogs you can put your name in to win the gorgeous life-size plush Dalmatian dog on display in the Children’s Library (our bear is taking it for a walk). We’ll be holding the drawing in the spring.
