Local naturalist, Ann Christensen, hosts Science Time every Tuesday at 11:00 am. Come learn about animals and their habitats. Sometimes, furry, scaly, or feathered creatures make a visit.

Read-In: Finish your Summer Reading Log
Need to do some extra reading to get your summer reading log finished? Come read-in at the library. We’ll provide snacks. Bring a pillow and come read and get your reading finished. Don’t forget that your summer reading logs for our program “Every Hero Has a Story” are due by noon on August 7th. No exceptions.

If you are entering grades K-6 and are participating in our summer reading program “Every Hero Has a Story” don’t forget to turn in your completed reading log by NOON today (August 7th). Late entries will not be accepted. Our Awards Ceremony will be at 2:00 pm.
Summer Reading Award Ceremony
Come celebrate Summer Reading with us at 2:00 pm. We’ll serve cake and watermelon. We’ll then draw for prizes: a Go-Pro camera, a bike, or a $100 Toy Store Gift card. These prizes are made possible by the generosity of our Grand Friends. Remember, even if you do not win a big prize everyone who completes and turns in a reading log will receive a $10 voucher to be used at either Iconoclast Books or Chapter One Bookstore.

Sewing Club
Sewing Club teaches basic hand stitching to children ages 7 and up. Projects differ each month. Space is limited, sign-up is required. Stop by or call the Children’s Library at (208) 726-3493 x 2 to reserve a spot.
