The Community Library Lit Crawl
Celebrate The Community Library’s 60 years of literacy, literature, and history! The Lit Crawl event invites everyone to stroll between multiple venues – the Library’s rooms, the Gold Mine Thrift and Consign Stores, and the Sun Valley Museum of History – to enjoy “tastes” of readings, literature and art displays, delicious food and beverages, and a raffle for amazing prizes with a literary bent. Save the date on your summer calendar now for this event for the whole family.
Join us at The Children’s Carnival Corner for a bouncy house, games, face painting, and food.
Science Time with Ann Christensen
Local naturalist, Ann Christensen, hosts Science Time every Tuesday at 11:00 am. Come learn about animals and their habitats. Sometimes, furry, scaly, or feathered creatures make a visit.
PAWS to Read
Our Paws to Read program is a great opportunity for children to practice reading. Reading to a dog helps children develop reading skills in a relaxed environment because dogs don’t correct or judge. During the summer “Paws to Read” happens every Tuesday at noon (right after Science Time) in the Children’s Library.
