Our Paws to Read program is a great opportunity for children to practice reading. Reading to a dog helps children develop reading skills in a relaxed environment because dogs don’t correct or judge. PAWS to Read will happen Saturdays at noon during the month of September.

Pizza & Back to School Book Sale
Kids can come enjoy a free slice of pizza and peruse our books for sale. Come choose a book you’d like to read this year as you start a new grade and new school year. Many books will be just $1 or $2 and money raised will benefit the Children’s Library programs.
Family Movie: Stuart Little
No BCSD today. Join us in the Children’s Library for a free showing of Stuart Little–based on the classic children’s book by E.B. White. Popcorn will be served. This movie is rated PG and is 85 minutes long.
Remember: children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by a parent or a caregiver who is at least 14 years old and may not be left unattended in the library.
Sewing Club with Britta Hubbard
Sewing Club teaches basic hand stitching to children ages 7 and up. Projects differ each month. Space is limited, sign-up is required. Call the Children’s Library at (208) 726-3493 x 2 to reserve a spot.
Very Ready Reader Storytime
Join us in The Children’s Library for summer Story Times featuring the Very Ready Reader Program. This program, designed by early childhood education experts encompasses 7 ways to help your child read and growth through books. Share Books, Sounds, Words, Rhymes, Songs, Stories, and Playtime. Saturdays at 10:30 am.
