OUTDOOR: Read-a-Long Story Time with Lee

July 7, 2021 by kmerwin

REGISTER HERE

Join us for Read-A-Long Story Time with Lee!

Mondays, June 14-August 16 at 10:30 a.m. on the Library’s Donaldson Robb Family Lawn on 4th Street. (Note: No Story Time will be held on Monday, July 5th. The library is CLOSED).

Registration is recommended to guarantee a space, but walk-ins will also be welcomed.

Registration opens the Wednesday prior to the upcoming story time.

SIGNUP IS PER FAMILY (OR GROUP)–i.e., you only need to register for one attendee per family, even if there are multiple children attending that will be sharing a book. Please indicate in the comments how many children are in your group so we can plan for each child to receive a craft or activity kit when one is being provided.

A copy of the book will be provided for each group to follow along as it is read, and so illustrations can be seen close up, and books will be collected at the conclusion of story time.

Attendees will be responsible for anything they might need to enjoy this outdoor gathering (blanket to sit on, refreshments, sunscreen, etc.). The Community Library will have additional staff/volunteers on hand to help with outdoor story time, however adult attendees will ultimately be responsible for the safety and welfare of the children they bring.

We are so excited to see you and share this fun summer activity with you!

Week 3: June 28th

Lee will be reading “Someone Builds the Dream” by Lisa Wheeler and Loren Long with a craft/activity to follow.

Register here: https://thecommunitylibrary.libcal.com/event/7923585

or by calling the Children’s Desk at 208-726-3493 x 3, beginning on Wednesday, June 23rd. (no calls prior, please).

Story Time is Online!

July 7, 2021 by kmerwin

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic we are not currently hosting in-person programming. Instead, story time has moved online.

Each week, our regular story time host, Lee Dabney, will be sharing a story time along with an easy, simple craft project that can be done at home with supplies you likely have on hand. You can also drop-in at the library during open hours to pick up a story time craft kit, while supplies last. Just ask at the Children’s circulation desk.

You can watch story time online anytime, at your convenience. We hope you enjoy!
