The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
Hi, my name is Zane. I enjoy playing soccer, video games, and exercising.
Percy Jackson, The Lightning Thief is a fantastic book about 12-year-old Percy Jackson, a troubled kid attending a boarding school. But little does Percy know that he is a son of a god. His best friend Grover is just making sure he is protected as a demigod. Everything changes when Percy, Grover, and Percy’s mom, Sally, are driving at night when they see a figure in the distance. It turns out to be a Monster coming for Percy, his mom who tries to save Percy finds herself head-to-head with a relentless beast.
This was a book from one of my favorite series, Percy Jackson and The Olympians. There were many parts that I liked and barely any that I didn’t like. One of my favorite parts was when Percy finds out that a close friend was one of his biggest enemies. Another part that I liked was when Percy finds out what his true identity is. One part that was not the best was at the start of the book. This was because it was pretty boring most of the time. Although the rest of the book was really exciting. In conclusion, this was a great book that I think everyone should read.
