I Survived the American Revolution, 1776 by Lauren Tarshis
My name is Slader. My favorite things to do is to play baseball, and watch my favorite movies. I am a 12 year old and in 7th grade.
I am going to be reviewing the I Survived The American Revolution, 1776. This book was written by Lauren Tarshis who is a very good author. This book is full of intense and suspenseful parts. For example, Nathaniel gets caught in the middle of a live gunfight. That is one of the reasons that it is so good, it keeps you interested the whole time. I would recommend this book if you are in 6th grade. This is a very short book with 144 pages. This is a good book for when you just want to read something quick and easy. The genre of this book is Historical Fiction. This isn’t only fun to read, but it teaches you some history.
This story is told through the perspective of Nathaniel Fox, an eleven-year-old boy who gets caught in the middle of the Battle of Brooklyn, the largest battle fought during the American Revolution. I would also recommend this book if you are super into history. As I told you earlier, it’s a fun way to learn. If you read 1 hour a day, like I do, you will get this done in about two days. I read this when I was in 6th grade. This novel has won the Golden Kite award and many others. I had a lot of fun reading this novel and I think you will too. If you enjoy this book, Lauren Tarshis wrote a whole series.
