Museums Passport

As a way to explore central Idaho’s past, we’ve created a Museums Passport and we hope you’ll start exploring. In the booklet are QR codes to connect you to the Wood River Museum of History + Culture’s Bloomberg Connects guide. On the guide you’ll find audio driving tours for the three segments designated as Idaho Scenic Byways.
Stop at any of the locations suggested by the audio tour, and additionally, consider visiting all these Museums and sites to get your passport stamped. Bring in your completed passport to the Wood River Museum to have your name entered in a drawing for a special prize related to Idaho history.

Each Museum’s opening dates and times listed are subject to change. Please check with these locations in advance to confirm times. Many are only open on weekends in the summer. Some of the museums in the passport are free, others only accept cash as payment—because there is no cell service possible. Please bring money with you!
If you plan to drive to these further locations, be prepared. You will not be assured of cell service in all locations and gas stations are few and far between. When exploring Idaho ghost towns and historic locations, consider bringing water, snacks, lip balm, sunscreen, camera, and a first aid kit.
The Passport is free and you can pick one up at any Valley museum (starting May 30, 2026). You can also download a copy here.
