Winston Churchill by Janet and Geoff Benge
Hi, my name is Judah and I like to play soccer, ski and play tennis.
The book titled Winston Churchill is a fascinating read, written by Jannet and Geoff Benge. This is a biographical account of Churchill that covers every detail from his early years to his death. Winston was born into a wealthy political family in Great Britian. Ever since he was a child, Churchill was constantly surrounded by politics, preparing him for his greater role in the future. Since he was a part of a rich family he was sent off to several boarding schools where he was reported to have very bad conduct. After his school years he discovered that he loved war and soon enlisted himself to go fight in Cuba and Africa. During his time there he wrote accounts and sent them back home to raise money and gain recognition. Once he was done fighting Churchill went back to Britian to run for small political positions until he worked his way up to First Lord of Admiralty during World War I. After the war, when World War II was on the rise, he was promoted to Prime Minister where he would lead the country during a global war.
I recommend this book for readers who like to read about true stories of historic people that had the courage and bravery to rise up during trying times.
