Louis Zamperini by Janet and Geoff Benge
Hi, my name is Judah and I like to play soccer, ski and play tennis.
The book titled Louis Zamperini is an exciting read written by Janet and Geoff Benge. This is a biographical account of the incredible life of Louis Zamperini showcasing his courage and immense bravery. Zamperini was born in Olean New York but a few years later moved to Torrance, California where his life story would begin. When Louis was in his middle school years, he never found a liking to school and was often involved in crafty thievery on the streets of Torrance. This behavior was present during much of his childhood until his older brother convinced him to join the track team and turn his life around. This was a major turning point in his life where he would get out of trouble and give him much needed endurance.
When Pearl Harbour was attacked, Zamperini was drafted to go fight in the Pacific where he and his crew would go down in a plane crash and be forced to survive on a raft. When they were finally rescued, they were picked up by the Japanese and sent off to terrible prison camps which tested every bone in his body. After the war ended, Zamperini came back to America, became a Christian, and started his own running club to get kids out of the situation he was in many years before. This book is an amazing read for readers who love a real-life story about a notable man in modern history.
