Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
Hi, I’m Advik. I’m a rising junior and I love to read and watch TV in my free time.
I read Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo. This book was genuinely one of the best books I have ever read. It’s an action-packed fantasy novel filled with suspense, schemes, and absolutely unforgettable characters. Leigh Bardugo wrote this book in such a way that you can tell how much thought and time went into it. The world and the plot are built so intricately that the book keeps you glued. As the second book in duology, this book is a fantastic sequel.
After successfully pulling off a mission that was deemed ‘impossible,’ Kaz Brekker and his crew expect to be given their reward. However, everything goes awry, and his crew is betrayed. With few options left, his crew must rely on their skillsets and their gut to survive and get revenge. Kaz Brekker has created many extremely powerful enemies in his time, and as they all start to close in, Kaz and his friends are forced to outsmart criminals, merchants, and political leaders. Throughout the entirety of the novel, each member of his crew must face their own personal problems along with the major tasks at hand.
I loved how each chapter in this book was from a different person’s perspective; it added to the plot and gave a view from every angle. Overall, this book is full of more twists, turns, betrayals, and shocking moments than you can count. Another thing I loved about this book was how each character had a different and unique personality.
