Bookmobile Librarian Lilianna Bridge recommends Bethesda Fountain, a 1000-piece puzzle by Michael Storrings.

I was drawn to the puzzle Bethesda Fountain because of how reminiscent its illustrations were of a fun winter’s day. The title of this puzzle really stuck out to me since Bethesda Fountian is located inside Central Park.
In my mind, New York City is the epitome of holiday cheer, so I was hopeful that this puzzle would boost my holiday spirit. If anything, I should have paid a bit more attention to the title, because the fountain was certainly the most time-consuming part of the puzzle.
With the holiday season in full swing, I really wanted to review an item in our collection that would also serve as an activity for me to partake in with my loved ones.
I decided that a puzzle would be the perfect item to review, and it was! Having not done this large of a puzzle in a handful of years, I felt that Bethesda Fountain was a great size. With four people working on this 1000-piece puzzle, it took just one weekend to finish. I felt like this was a perfect amount of time…
…and it was a great activity to bring my family together during this busy season.
Unfortunately, this puzzle was missing one piece, but the lovely patron who had checked it out before me made a great note of this. I really appreciated that note, because I knew exactly what piece was missing, therefore I did not have to spend a great deal of time searching for it. Thank you so much to whomever made that very helpful note!
All and all, I would highly recommend doing this puzzle. Whether or not you are searching for an activity to do on your own after work, or an activity to bring your friends and family together, this puzzle will surely to the trick!
