Edenbrooke

book Edenbrooke

by Julianne Donaldson

Marianne Daventry would do anything to escape the boredom of Bath and the amorous attentions of a cretin she has absolutely no interest in.

So when an invitation arrives from her twin sister, Cecily, to join her at a wonderful country house, she jumps at the chance. At last she will be able to relax and enjoy the countryside, which she loves so much, while her sister manages to free herself from the attentions of the handsome heir of Edenbrooke.

However, Marianne will eventually discover that even the best laid plans can go wrong: first a terrifying encounter with a highwayman, then an apparently harmless flirtation… in the end, Marianne will find herself involved in an unexpected adventure full of intrigue and love, so passionate that she will not be able to give her mind a rest.

Will she be able to control her treacherous heart or will she fall for a mysterious stranger? It is clear that fate wants something different for Marianne than what she had planned when she went to Edenbrooke.
