Senator Frank Church sits in the middle of this image taken during a Senate Subcommittee meeting on Parks and Recreation open hearings regarding the Sawtooth Range at Sun Valley. Seated with him are Senator Frank E. Moss, and Senator B. Everett Jordan. This meeting and others would eventually lead to the creation of the River of No Return Wilderness in 1980, which would eventually be renamed the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness.
