Join us for a virtual closing of the 2021 Winter Read. The Library’s eight Winter Read interns, who are all high school students from area schools–Sun Valley Community School, Wood River High School, The Sage School, and Silver Creek High School–will share their favorite moments from the last few months, and reflect on the questions raised by this year’s community read of Kindred by Octavia E. Butler. We’ll also announce the winners of our Winter Read Challenges!
During the program, we’ll also share a short film prepared by intern Asia Angel. Throughout the Winter Read, Asia asked other interns, Library staff, valley students, and educators to reflect on the role of stories in our lives and how we can each work to make our community and world a better, more equitable place. She’ll share their responses with us as we close out this year’s Winter Read series.
