Maintenance Manager
The Maintenance Manager works with the director of operations to ensure that The Community Library Association facilities are kept in excellent condition. These facilities include heavily used public buildings such as The Community Library, The Regional History Museum, The Gold Mine Thrift Store, and Gold Mine Consign; as well as the Ernest and Mary Hemingway House and Preserve, which is on the National Register of Historic Places and includes a writer-in-residence apartment. The Maintenance manager will work with association staff and outside contractors to coordinate cleaning, repairs, and preventive maintenance. The Maintenance manager will spend approximately 30 hours/week performing custodial work, and the remainder of the time on other tasks. The weekly schedule for this position will be determined and includes a moderate amount of flexibility.

Gold Mine Retail Projects Manager
This individual will provide core support to the consignment store as it expands its operations into a new, larger space; strengthens its internal processes for efficiency and excellent customer service; and grows its brand in relationship to the Gold Mine Thrift Store and The Community Library. This individual also will spearhead special projects targeting the future growth of the Gold Mine enterprise, both Thrift and Consign. These projects include strengthening the flow of goods between Thrift and Consign; developing branded merchandise; assisting with a new pricing initiative; and informing the launch of a new small museum shop for the Library’s Museum in the adjoining new space. The overarching objective is to maximize sales and deliver outstanding customer service in service of the Library’s mission.

Gold Mine Consign Associate
The Gold Mine Consign Associate assists with providing outstanding customer service; helping with consignor relations; processing, pricing, and displaying of consignment merchandise; and assisting with social media postings. The primary objective is to maximize the sales generated from these items as part of the Gold Mine Stores in delivering outstanding customer service. This is a full-time nonexempt position, though applicants interested in part-time work will also be considered. The minimum starting pay is $20/hour. Current Internship Opportunities
Teen Advisory Group (TAG) Interns
The Community Library is seeking interns for a Teen Advisory Committee. The first task will be supporting the Winter Read—a community-wide program to promote literacy by inviting everyone to read a book and talk about it. (This year’s pick is Sabrina & Corina: Stories by Kali Fajardo-Anstine.) Subsequently, members of the Teen Advisory Group will recommend, plan, and lead programs to be offered to their peers or youth with the goal of increasing teen engagement in library activities. Interns will also spend time developing job and teamwork skills.
