The museum exhibition spans the time period from the late 19th century to the early 20th century. It is a look at Native Americans in the Wood River Valley and their interactions with non-native newcomers during the period. On display are early maps depicting Idaho Territory in 1863 and the Wood River Valley in 1881; excerpts from era newspapers, specifically the Wood River Times; photographs by the local photographers Eugene Antz and Orin T. Curtis; and legal documents pertaining to a 1906 Blaine County District Court case about the rape and assault of an Indian woman known only by her first name, Mary. This case went to Idaho’s Supreme Court in 1907.
