The Royal Larkspur Players are pleased to announce their production of “Knocking on Heaven’s Door”. There will be one performance only; Thursday, December 17th, 6PM at the Community Library.
The theme is a combative meeting of 3 great historical figures with much literary talent to their credit. Coincidentally they were deeply interested in religious philosophy, so much so that they began creating their own versions of the Bible based on personal
opinions. The three happen at the end of life to meet in a sort of antechamber of Heaven; the literary, theological and historical fireworks begin almost immediately.
These famous figures will remain a bit of mystery for now. Although the identities soon become obvious, we’ll give you the audience a chance to figure out who they are. This could be viewed as a prequel of Sartre’s famous play “No Exit” set in Hell…though more intellectual in nature and minus the sexual references.
Adam King, MacKenzie Harbaugh and Gary Hoffman will be playing the three real-life authors/philosophers.
Admission is free but donations to the Library are always welcome.
