No One Leaves the Castle

A scary looking castle with the title "No One Leaves the Castle" on it in big, bold letters.

No One Leaves the Castle by Christopher Healy

Hi my name is Kire. I am a 8th grader who loves to read and write book reviews!

No One Leaves the Castle is a mystery that takes place in a fictional world in a castle. The book starts with a butler from a very rich family called the Angbars trying to find a bounty hunter to help find a beloved family heirloom called the Emerald Axe which has gone missing. The butler finds a teenage bounty hunter. She is named “The Lilac” and becomes our main character in the story and just like that, the hunt is on.

Eventually, when The Lilac finds the Emerald Axe, she is brought to Castle Angbar where she is treated to a nice dinner with the Angbar family. Little did anyone know that there would be a murder committed at this dinner and The Lilac would be the one to solve the murder.

Soon, we learn that everyone in the Angbar family has something to hide. We even learn that The Lilac is hiding a huge secret. The question is, do any of these shocking secrets relate to the murder at all? Find out everything about the murder and who committed the murder by reading No One Leaves the Castle.
Surprisingly, I really loved this book and I am really glad I got the chance to read it. Every chapter ends in a crazy detail that reveals something more about the mystery. This along with lots of humor constantly kept me wanting to read on. Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a fun and silly murder mystery.

Find it in print here.
